What shots do you have to get if you get bitten by a squirrel?

please answer this question as soon as you see it, its my college homework. What shots do you have to get if you get bitten by a squirrel?
Do squirrels get rabies? How would they get rabies? Would they survive a bite from an animal from which they could get rabies?

What other illnesses can you catch from a squirrel? (Hint: not too many unless you are another squirrel). Of those illnesses, which ones have vaccines prepared? Or immune globulin? (Hint: check the CDC site).

Check the CDC about ';squirrel bites'; or animal bites.

You definitely need to get a tetanus if you are not up to date. What shots do you have to get if you get bitten by a squirrel?
You would need the rabies series immediately. It must be started within 48hrs. You get subsequent shots at 1week, 2weeks and 4weeks. The health dept needs to be notified and will finance the shots if your ins. doesn't cover. Go to any E.R. They keep the shots in stock. Most primary care physicians don't stock them because of the expense . Hope I've been of some help.
