Is it possible for a person of age in MA to purchase and own a squirrel monkey? If so, how much are they?

I recently went on vacation and saw a guy walking around with a monkey tethered on his shoulder. The little squirrel monkey was trained and everything, so they were taking pictures of him with people. Evidently they can be trained and are friendly, so I wanted to see if it is possible to get one as a pet. However, searching the internet, i cant find any place that sells them or has information on who sells them.Is it possible for a person of age in MA to purchase and own a squirrel monkey? If so, how much are they?
Call your local fish and wild game people,( I think that's the name if not is close enough to find the number in the phone book) and they can tell you the laws in you state, city and town where you live. Make sure you check all three. I have two capuchins and they are very friendly. But make sure you do you reading. You need to learn as much as you can be for you get your baby. They are much more like two year olds then any dog or cat. make sure you know what you are getting in to before you bring a baby home.

they need constant care. You get out what you put in.

As for breeder I know of a few sites that has breeders on them http://www.pets4you.com/monkey.html
