My dad was cutting down dead trees for firewood and a little squirrel was left by his momma :( He is about 4-5 weeks old just getting ready to open his eyes. He is doing great with us, I just don't want to be turned in for doing something illegal! I can't find anywhere online that tells me if it, is or isn't legal IN missouri. THAT IS NOT TURE!!!!! People tried to tell me that in florida and i went online to fwc(florida wildlife conservation) and asked them and it is perfectly legal here, i don't know about there, but all they have is cage size requierments. I have two and i was going to see if i needed a lisence and i don't . i will look and try to find that info. for you! I'll be back!!

It is illegal to be in possession of wildlife in all states unless you are a licensed wildlife rehabber. please find a wildlife rehabber in your area to care for the squirrel. websites below. your heart is definitely in the right place. kudos to you for helping the baby.
