How do you know if a squirrel has rabies?

my cat was messing with a squirrel and it got hurt and its breathing heavy i was wondering if its safe to keep it and what are the signs rabid squirrel? can someone help me?How do you know if a squirrel has rabies?
Rabid animals generally foam at the mouth, or drool a lot. Most are really aggressive and attack, acting like they are Kodiac Bears or something else that big.

If squirrel is hurt it will be more aggressive than normal.

If the cat was hurt, take to the vet for observation. Hoping you had your cat's shots up to date? Some states only require rabies shots every other year, and some require every year.

to be safe, you should always have your pets vaccinations up to date!!!How do you know if a squirrel has rabies?
Play it safe and call a vet.
