My pet cat killed a squirrel... How do I stop him from killing small animals?

The squirrle lost its head it was bloody and nasty...My pet cat killed a squirrel... How do I stop him from killing small animals?
Well, you can keep him inside. That would protect both your cat and wildlife. Bells aren't always effective at protecting wildlife, and they won't prevent your cat from becoming roadkill. My pet cat killed a squirrel... How do I stop him from killing small animals?
Cats are predators.

Killing squirrels and other small animals is not a problem, it is the cat's purpose in life.

Your squeamishness is the problem - If you can't handle it, you shouldn't have a cat.
Lure him away with catnip! It's like weed for cats! LOL
First of all I would try to sew the squirrels head back on..then sit the cat down and have a talk with it...ask him how'd he feel if someone tore his head off? Then give him a ';time out';. or a little spankin..he should understand by this time!

Or maybe.....just maybe.....keep him inside! yeah that's it! I think that's what I'd try..Good luck!
put a bell on cats collar
Animals hunt! It's perfectly natural. Try keeping it in the house. Be a responsible pet owner.
Keep your cat inside. It's a natural instinct, so you aren't going to be able to get him to stop hunting
Put a bell around your cat's neck so she can't sneak up on small animals
Don't get a bell collar they don't work, cats are much too smart for them.

Try a flashing LED collar
keep it inside
i don't think there is a way to stop this once they start, unless you keep the cat inside. it is their natural instinct.
Cats are natural predators. Keep the cat inside. Inside cats live longer than outside cats.
Keep the cat indoors!!! With an estimated 75 million House Cats in North America, this is the very reason our Native Song Bird Populations are struggling. House Cats are predators. If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem...
You can't unless you watch him all the time.
Hello?! Keep your cat indoors, as that is the safest place for it and the animals outside like the unfortunate squirrel. However, are you talking a full grown adult squirrel here? If so, I don't think your cat killed it. Cat's rarely go after something as large, fast, and wily as an adult squirrel. Most domestic house cats are not fast enough to catch a health adult squirrel.
A bell might help but the only way to prevent it is to not let your cat inside. its safer for the cat, and it will live much longer on average.
you cant unless you keep it inside that's there nature my cat gets baby bunnies all the time I get mad but hey they like to play I blocked up the bunnie hole no more kitties some times good luck
