Do you need a permit to own a 13-line ground squirrel in Texas?

I was looking for a pet and found a local pet shop carries 13-line ground squirrels. Upon further research I found that they were said to be good pets if captive born and raised. I just can not find anything on whether they require a permit for such a pet or not.Do you need a permit to own a 13-line ground squirrel in Texas?
Just get one. If no-one told you you needed one, and you even looked it up you should run into no trouble. :D:D

if the local petshop carries them, then yes you can have them. but only in Texas.

i shouldn't think so and there is then thats their problem for not making it obvious at all. Just get one. also the pet shop should say if you need a permit.
