Where can I get a pet baby squirrel in indiana?

I once saved a squirrel in march 2009. a cat had it in its mouth and i rushed over to the cat and pulled the baby squirrel out of the cats mouth. My neighbor was a vet and was taking care of it for me but 2 days later it died from the cats bite, and ever since i really have been interested in squirrels so where can i get one?Where can I get a pet baby squirrel in indiana?
You don't keep squirrels as pets.Where can I get a pet baby squirrel in indiana?
Squirrels are wild animals and in most states, you are prohibited from keeping a wild animal as a pet UNLESS you have a special license issued by either your states Department of Environmental Conservation or it might be your states Department of wild life conservation... Vets have the right to treat injured wild animals and SOME have the right to harbor them but MOST have to give the animal up to a wild life rescue center after the animal is healed...where the rescue center prepares the animal to be put back into the wild if at all possible.
Try a humane society.. squirrels arnt kept as pets but if they need medical attention or if they need to be cared for by humans for what ever reason and cant be released back into the wild because of human interaction they usually put them in humane societies...
