How long should I BBQ a squirrel for?

Until its cooked properly the whole way through - depends on how hot your BBQ is. Skin and gut it first.

A lot of people seem to prefer it fried (also can be done outdoors on a trangia), but if you have an older squirrel they tend to be quite tough so its better to boil it in a stew. How long should I BBQ a squirrel for?
BTW I feel it necessary to add - Dr Strangelove has a valid point. BBQing squirrel is generally a bad idea. Stewing or frying is the way to go. Bon appetit.

How long should I BBQ a squirrel for?
Until it stops moving!
whole squirrel, probably about 30 minutes but I'd check after 20.
Best way is to cut it in pieces and fry it like you would chicken. They really come out crispy and it makes the best gravy in the world. NOBODY would BBQ one, you MUST be from the city.
Follow the timing on recipes for rabbit

30-45 minutes on the top grate on low heat
Until the tail catches fire.
actually squirrel is at its best when used as a milk gravy base, as in biscuits and gravy. so i guess the answer is you dont bbq squirrel. bbq racoon now thats good eating but takes several hours of par boiling before you grill it.
after gutting , 12 = 2 = 20 minutes turning frequently

use chili sauce, nice
best way to cook a squirrel is in a stew, like a veggie type, but fry it in slices with seasoning in a pan first! then add to stew.. 3 or 4 hours on simmer and u got some good shheeet!salt to taste..
Make sure it is dead first! Then drench it in thick sweet BBQ sauce till nice and crispy, about an hour over med. heat. P.S. Don't ever give the squirrel (LIVER) to any animals to eat because a squirrel liver filters out the arsenic poisons from acorns, and it could kill an animal who eats it. The squirrel is made to eat acorns but other animals are not!
