Can you actually have a squirrel for a pet?

I don't want one , I just want to know and would you like get it from a pet store??Can you actually have a squirrel for a pet?
In some states you may keep squirrels as pets. Most people that have squirrels found them as defenseless babies and bottle-fed them. I don't think pet stores carry them. Can you actually have a squirrel for a pet?
You can have them as pets. It may or may not be legal in your state. Yes, some pet stores do sell them. If you google exotic pets and squirrel I promise you will find tree rats for sale. I personally have two pet squirrels. Not sugar gliders, just regular tree rats. I rescued both as injured babies. One is 5 years old the other is about 3 months. They make wonderful pets if you have the time to devote to them. They do require a lot of time and energy. They need constant attention. Too much for most people.
yes, they are legal to have in pennsylvania as long as you get a permit and buy them from the state of pennsylvania. i have a southern flying squirrel and had to search for months to find a reputable breeder which i could purchase mine from. they are rarely sold in stores so your best bet would be to find a breeder. not sure about maryland or new york, but you probobly need a permit as well.
yeah because my friend has two and they are so cute and happy but they were found on the ground because they fell out of their nest and their mother had rejected them so she took them in and they have everything they need to be happy
i know you can in oregon in also know that you cant have them in California
you can have a southern flying squirrel but no pet stores sell them, you need to get them from a breeder
