What is the best way to save a squirrel tail?

Ive seen people with them but like i could see some meat on the tail ive thought about boiling would that work and ive hear salt but idk What is the best way to save a squirrel tail?
No don't boil it-that would make all the fur fall off. Put it in a dry warm environment-rub salt into it as best you can. It will dry out and be very stiff as there will still be some tissue which has become dessicated but the fur should stay on if you don't allow it to become damp when rot will set in.What is the best way to save a squirrel tail?
